  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) has many challenging subtypes. I work with even the most disturbing subtypes, because I feel confident that OCD clients are the LEAST likely to act on a disturbing intrusive thought.

    • Contamination OCD

    • Harm OCD

    • Relationship OCD (ROCD)

    • Taboo thoughts and sexual intrusive thoughts, including POCD

    • “Real event” OCD

    • False memory OCD

    • Hit and run OCD

    • Pure “O” OCD or primarily obsessional, with mental compulsions like magical thinking and compulsive rumination

    • Health OCD and health anxiety, with body sensations and/or real presence of diagnosed health issues that makes it harder to know if a sensation is a symptom

    • Checking compulsions

    • Avoiding compulsions

    • Complex cases of OCD including co-occuring PTSD

    • Multiple diagnosis and dual diagnosis individuals

    • ADHD and OCD

    • Autism and OCD

    • PTSD and C-PTSD and OCD

  • I provide therapy for adults 18+. I do not work with children.

    • Adult ADHD coping skills for self care, work, school, and relationships

    • Adult autism coping skills for self care, work, school, and relationships

    • Complex, multiple diagnosis cases of neurodivergence

    • Work avoidance, school avoidance, and pathalogical demand avoidance (PDA) treated with acceptance and commitment therapy ACT to expand your capacity while honoring your limits and boundaries.

  • I meet with clients virtually. I work in the mornings with options as early as 7am CST, 8am EST. I find myself across many time zones so I do not have appointments in the evenings.

  • As a fully licensed mental health clinician, I can diagnose OCD, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, and more.

Diagnosing ADHD and autism require more comprehensive evaluation, so I can help you discern if you want to go through the 4-6 hour process at a psychological evaluation agency.

  • Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) is considered the most effective treatment for OCD.

    • We will trigger the desire to do a compulsion, then not do it.

    • Start on easy mode and gradually increase the difficulty.

    • I will teach you skills to help you manage the discomfort of saying no to compulsions, like staying motivated because you value expanding your comfort zone more than the stress of the OCD cycle.

    • Over time, you will find the discomfort boring, manage OCD thoughts with ease, and easily prevent compulsions.

    • This works for mental compulsions and “pure O” too, which is the form of OCD that has almost no physical compulsions.

    • I pull heavily from ACT and Rumination focused ERP as companion strategies for ERP. Your treatment will be tailored to your needs.

  • I do ACT therapy, which is also an exposure therapy, for avoidance behaviors present in autism and neurodivergence.

If you’re autistic, you may have many common sense routines and accommodations that help you maintain energy and access to joy. If you’re overthinking the reliability of your accommodation, I want to help you stop overthinking. If you have restrictions that are less relevant to your symptoms, we can find other self-care strategies besides avoidance.

    Examples of accommodations:
Ear plugs in public to prevent draining sensory overwhelm

Sticking to a regular wake and sleep time to have enough energy for work, studies, and community/hobbies.

    Examples of avoidance behaviors:
Overly rigid ideas about dating that lead to avoiding dating. Or, avoiding signalng openness when dating, despite wanting a partner.

A short, overly controlled list of places you’re comfortable going outside of your home. You wish you could go to more places, but it feels like this is your only option to be safe.

When I’m helping clients work on avoidance, we’re thinking about activities that make you feel most alive and recharged. If you have behaviors that keep you from aliveness and energy, we can find you better strategies so you can 1) preserve energy and 2) gain more!

I combine ACT with autism informed strategies for self-care. I also help you work on defenses that keep you tired, like excessive screen time, people pleasing, or overfunctioning at work and studies.

Right now, it feels like restricting your movement and environment is the only option. I would love to help you find more balance that aligns with your values and preferences.

  • I offer therapy for burnout using ACT, to help you accept the challenges in life and commit to making healthy choices anyway.

    I offer:
    Therapy for burnout from work
    Therapy for burnout from school
    Therapy for autistic burnout
Therapy to help you return to work or studies
Therapy to help you make peace with not working or not studying

I help clients stop relying on draining strategies for managing demands, like people pleasing, over-functioning, perfectionism, and all or nothing performance. Instead, we can start to use boundaries, allow work to be good enough, and address the anxiety or ADHD (or both) that leads to procrastination/cramming cycle.

If you want to increase your energy capacity and feel confident that you can handle the demands of work or school, let’s schedule a consultation.
