About Cali Keating LCSW, ADHD-CCSP

My approach is warm, validating, and direct. I make space for humor— yes, you can laugh in therapy! Some folks feel like their experience isn’t “bad enough” for therapy, but we can process whatever hurts in a non-judgmental space.  I am well-versed in “small t” traumas and invalidated wounds, which can be pretty common if you’re neurodivergent.

My clients get a balance of discussion and taking tangibles from our work together. I use methods from Internal Family Systems (IFS), self-compassion, and executive skills coaching for ADHD. With these techniques and others, I’m here to help you make friends with your brain and stop judging yourself for how you navigate the world.

Neurodivergent Affirming

If you’re new to your diagnosis, you may not have encountered this term. In short, I’m neurodivergent affirming because I respect your flow and how you operate. The systems you build toward structural self-care will not be the same as everyone else’s, and that’s okay.

Background + Experience

I have my Bachelor’s in Social Work and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to working for myself, I worked in the non-profit sector serving youth and adults in the immigration system, education, child welfare, and community mental health. I’m certified in somatic parts work and a certified clinical service provider for ADHD.

My lived experience includes my ADHD, neurodivergence in my family, and having a neurodivergent spouse. I’m also LGBTQIA+ affirming and striving to be an anti-racist therapist.

In my free time you can find me voting in every election + getting the majority of my dopamine from my dog.
